| What is a Pixie-Bob? Pixie-bobs are domestic cats of probable bobcat heritage bred to look like bobcats. Their dog-like personalities and bobcat looks make them unique among cats. They are exotic, beautiful, and sweet. They have none of the personality problems that can exist in hybrids. A well socialized Pixie-bob is gregarious, liking all people instead of getting attached to just one. It is common for Pixie-bobs to do the rounds at parties, going from person to person begging a scratch off anyone who is willing. Most can also be leash trained. A show quality cat will be bobtailed. A pet quality cat will usually have a long tail. Either can be polydactyl and/or have lynx tipped ears. Our pixie bobs have it all: Blue List eligible bloodlines, quadruple and supreme grand championship lines, all their kitten shots, health guarantees, and excellent socialization. We have been a cat breeder for over twenty years and a Pixie-bob breeder for over eight years. Our cattery has had a perfect score under the TICA cattery evaluation program for six years running. Our Pixie Bobs are home-raised as part of the family, never in cages, so that their true Pixie-bob personalities are encouraged and optimized. The vet must answer a 44 question confidential survey, such as whether or not I provide a stimulating environment, health guarantees, etc.which is then sent to TICA for scoring. Over the years we have had two different vets come inspect our home. Each time, both vets gave us a perfect score. This is our sixth year in a row as a TICA Outstanding Cattery. |
